Jet (Marked Men#2) by Jay Crownover

Synopsis

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

My Review

Ive had Jet on my To Be Read pile since it came out but haven't got round to reading it - it was worth the wait.

I had read Rule the first book in the (Marked Men) series and LOVED it. As a rule men with tattoos have just never done it for me till now. I am always a bit scared to read the sequel of any book in case its not as good as the first. This is not the case with Jet.

Ayden is one the best friends of Shaw the girlfriend of Rule. And Jet is the lead singer of Enmity. Jet looks like the typical rocker piercings, tattoos, chains, skin tight jeans. Ayden has long legs and a gorgeous figure and secrets that no one knows about. the whole gang is protective of each other.

After one night watching the band, Ayden is taken home by Jet and she makes a move on him, but he turns her down because he thinks she is too good for him, he's got his own secrets.  Jet, Ayden and Cora all live together, and Ayden and Cora give the groupies who do the walk of shame the next day points out of ten. Ayden secretly finds this extremely hard because of her feelings about Jet.
After someone breaks in to their house while Cora is home alone, things start to happen between Jet and Ayden and secrets threaten to destroy them.

I cant say anymore, you guys know i don't like giving spoilers out and if i say anymore i will. I almost cried when the secrets were on the verge of coming out. My favourite line is from Jet

" I'm not letting you go Ayden, and I'm not going to give you any kind of room, so you better be prepared to deal with all of that for a long time. You promised forever and I plan on holding you to it."

I LOVED this story I couldn't put it down. I love everything about it the characters, the way the story pulls you in and you can clearly picture whats going on, thanks to Jay's Fantastic writing skills. I can't wait for Romes story which is on sale January 2014, which is too far away for me.

I strongly recommend you guys read this.
I am going to give this book 5/5. And 3/5 for movie moments.

About the Author

Jay is a chick, and feels she  didn't need to have this in an about you page but after the emails she received, she felt it was good to let readers know Jay is short for Jennifer. I'm supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I'm an natural redhead even though I haven't seen my real hair colour in years, I'm a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I've been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I'm interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
