A Royal Heartbreak by Marian Tee
Domenico Moretti used to have it all. He was prince to one of the most powerful and wealthiest Lyccan packs in the world, a warrior who made his opponents tremble in fear, a gorgeous billionaire every woman desired. Only when his wife disappeared did Domenico realize that none of it mattered if he did not have Misty's love and trust.
Misty Wall used to be a wimp, a starry-eyed fool who thought she was about to live happily ever after with the werewolf she loved. She used to think Domenico Moretti loved her back...until his lies publicly shamed her with the revelation that she was never his mate and was only ever his pawn for revenge.
When the threat of war looms closer, the alliance between non-human races is put to the test and forces the estranged couple to face each other again.
To prove that his princess means more to him than anything else, Domenico makes the greatest sacrifice, laying his pride on the line and turning his back on his destiny. Domenico had hoped for a second chance, but heartbreak may all that awaits him when Misty seals her allegiance to the Faeries...by promising to wed another man.
This is the second book in this series by Marian Tee. I was so excited about this book. I loved the cover, especially the colour. I love Misty and Domenico's characters. The title of this book is true. I was heartbroken reading it.
I feel I can't tell you anything about the story other than what is on the synopsis because the tiniest thing I tell you would spoil it. The danger as I keep saying in a second book is that it's not as good as the first and you feel like the story has been dragged on. NOT so with this book, if anything -if it is possible because the first book was amazing. This book for me was better than the first. It literary broke my heart for Domenico. I understood why Misty did what she did, but I felt like knocking there heads together. Again this book had my emotions all over the place, i wanted to scream, shout, cry, laugh. This definitely had movie moments in.
I loved all the new characters even the bad guys. The pace was just right the flow of the story was right, everything about this book is right. You have to read this book its an amazing read which will have its claw's dug deep. I read this book from start to finish I could not put it down. I cant wait to see were the story goes next.
Thank you Marian for letting me read a fantastic book.
I am giving this 5/5 stars and 5/5 movie moments
About the Author
Marian Tee is a Filipino-Chinese writer from the Philippines. She started writing seriously when she was 18, during her first year in college. For her day job she provides online content. Articles, website pages, press releases, reviews - the works. She works from home. "It's a cushy job, and I'm lucky to have it. I get to learn new things every day, and this helps me with my other work. The one that has to do with storytelling." Marian believes her characters are usually quirky because she's a mass of contradictions herself. She's a Business Management graduate who also took formal lessons in Nihongo (just for the sake of reading manga) and attended classes in hip-hop dancing for several years. Marian has a host of books under her belt, that I can't wait to read.
